Reputedly One of the Oldest Breeds in the World

Has more influence than any on other breeds, its presence recorded in 5,000 year-old carvings.  The Father of all 'hot-blooded' breeds, 'Kenilan' - Arabic for "Thoroughbred".

Described as a Small Horse with extremely graceful carriage, a beautiful head and "arresting picturesque appearance".  Features include soundness of wind, freedom from leg trouble and being capable of extreme endurance.

• Small head with concave profile

• Large, brilliant eyes placed low in the skull

• Small, sharply cut ears

• Colours ranging from grey to chestnut to black

• Extravagant and exaggerated paces

• Viewed as "skittish" but frighteningly intelligent and quick to learn

• Extremely adaptable - excelling at pursuits ranging from endurance to racing
