'Rescued'

Vicki always felt a horrible lurch in her stomach when she walked home from school past the Shetland pony. The field was full of ragwort and the pony was never groomed and very skinny.

Vicki had nicknamed him 'Lucky' in the hope that lady luck would come his way but so far it hadn't worked. One day Vicki saw a sign in the field...

PONY FOR SALE £50
IF THERE IS NO OFFERS BY TUESDAY THEN HE'LL BE DOG MEAT.

Vicki gasped - it was Monday. She had £50 birthday money so she went for it and ran home to get the money. She went to the house next to the field and gave the man the money.

"There you go." he said giving her the tack and headcollar. He shut the door.

And that's it the story of how Vicki got her Shetland Pony Lucky.
