'The Show'

It was the last day of the riding holiday and Rhian didn't want to go home at all.

"Oh I love you Wilmot and I'm coming next year as well but I'll be too big for you then so I won't be able to ride you" she whispered to her pony whilst stepping back to admire her plaiting.

"Oh you look Beautiful". she said to the 14hh bay pony. She looked over at her friend who was putting gel in her Norwegian Fjord's hogged main.

"Come on everyone, down to the indoor school for the show" shouted David. First was Show Jumping.

"I can't jump too well I don't want to do it" I said

"well you are" said David,

"come on I'll put the fences lower and you can trot over them" David pleaded and that's how I was persuaded to do the jumping show.

Next was handy pony and that was like an obstacle course. That was easy and I did that well, hardly stopping at all. The next bit was the best Gymkhana's we had three races of winding in and out of poles and although my team came third it was fun. Then came presentation time a thing I didn't expect. I was gob-smacked when Billy said I had came second in handy pony and I was proud as I went and collected my blue rosette. I was also pleased when they gave me a rosette for clear round show jumping an a yellow third rosette for gymkhana.

So altogether I got a first, second and clear round rosettes.  Not bad for my first show is it?!
