A true story!  Seren=star in welsh!

It was about a year ago, the 24 November 1999 it was, and I was in love with a

pony at the trekking center.  I helped out and name was Seren. She was a

14.3hh welsh cob she was a babe, I always led the treks on her.  I rode her

every single time, the treks where mainly walk and trot but on one hot day

Myra the owner said lets have a canter. Oh but Seren doesn’t canter so you'll

just have to trot off. We went she cantered and she was bliss I loved her. We

were going to buy her. On the last trek I went on with her before we took her

home it was a lovely day I was talking to Nia=Myra's daughter as she was

behind me then I swatted a fly off Seren's neck she bucked reared and

galloped. She was galloping towards the mountain face (the trekking centers in

Wales) faster and faster.

I lost my stirrups I heard Nia scream Mum do something Myra came after me galloping on Dnoway flash jack.  Seren went sharply to the left I fell onto her neck and slid round so I was under her head hanging onto her neck.  I let go and fell right in front of her. She jumped over me just catching my leg and her back hoof just grazed my head a little that was it.  I lay still Myra came and helped me up! I still wanted Seren I loved her so much! But everyone agreed it would be too risky then I learned of her son Mr.Mostin. Myra took me to see him he was just like his mum. When you walked up to him so soft and gentle I loved him too, I rode him and he could run like the wind he wasn’t as highly strung as Seren, he was calm, cool and collected. We decided to buy him and Myra kept Seren she’s done the same to Myra’s 3 daughters as what she did to me but Myra wont get rid of her so that when I go up to the trekking I can still see the first horse I ever loved! I’m so thankful that she had Mosstin and also that she managed to jump over me when I fell off without hurting me. Thanx Seren my little star!!!
