This is a story about a arabian stallion. It is one of many about this friend that I cared for for 3 years. His name was Nadom. At the time of this story he was 7 years old. We were at the nationals (a VERY BIG SHOW). Nadom was a boy who liked to roll on ANY soft ground. After a sweaty workout.he would ask by looking at me and pawing the ground with a front foot. If I said "ok, go ahead" he would drop like a rock to the ground in front of me. Then he would roll from side to side with great glee. He loved it!
I had just finished his workout when a lady who was very
chatty started to ask a lot of questions about Nadom. After awhile I got a
little tired of all the questions. I decided to have a little fun with
this lady. I walked to a soft piece of dirt and quietly told nadom
"OK!". He dropped like a rock, rolling from side to side and
wiggling on his back in the dirt. The lady was unaware of the cause of
this display. She asked, "whats wrong with Nadom?".
I said "I don't know maybe he's ill?". She ran off to tell all
NADOM WAS SICK!! When she was out of sight I got Nadom up, washed him
quickly and put him in his stall. I told Nadom's owner of my prank - he
has a good sense of humour so he thought it was funny! For the next hour,
one by one, people came to ask if Nadom was ill. His owner just pointed
his thumb over his shoulder and said "he's in there, go look"
They all looked and walked away puzzled. I never saw the lady again.
To the lady, I don't remember your name, but sorry it was just
a joke!
