Sherin and Frebbis (TRUE STORY OF ME)
Lucy kicked as hard as she could. But however hard she tried, the fat
little Shetland wouldn't trot. Gorna was a piebald stallion Shetland who
belonged to Lucy's twin sister Tracy. Gorna was a fat dumpling who wouldn't
trot, even with 4 whips being used, spurs, smacks on the bottom, nothing would
make him trot. In the big green field of Meadow Green stables, he would gallop
as fast as he could, but when someone asked him to, he was stubborn. Lucy had a
lovely liver chesnut mare called Sherin. Being 13.3hh, she jumped higher than
Gorna. (And she would actually trot!) One Saturday, Lucy kissed Sherin's nose
and led her out. As she slipped off her night-rug, her mum came rushing down the
yard, all hot and sweaty. "Whats wrong mum? Is it something bad?" Asked Tracy.
"It's Sherin and Gorna! We HAVE to sell them, by next week!" The twins were so
shocked they couldn't speak. Their dad, (who lived in London) had sued their mum
for keeping the house without a written agreement, and their mum had to come up
with Four thousand pounds in the next week!!! The family cried and cried for the
rest of the day. The twins rode their ponies for three hours, making the most of
thier time together. An advert was placed on lots of websites and they would
sell the pair together, as the ponies loved one another dearly. In two days
time, a woman agreed to pay four seven thousand pounds for the two ponies and
all the tack, rugs and every thing else with it. 2 days before the money was due
to be paid, the ponies were sold. The twins stayed with the ponies for ages just
kissing and cuddling them. Another week later, the money was paid, and Lucy got
a surprise! Her mum's friend had a pony for sale because her daughter had
out-grown it! It was on sale for one thousand pounds so Lucy loaned it. Her and
Frebbis are a lovely pair who compete regularly and Lucy might be buying him
soon, but Lucy can never forget Sherin, who was taken from her.
