 Tail
Tips (1)
Apply Brylcreme® to a freshly washed and
combed tail.
This will keep it tangle-free, smooth
and clean for longer.
It also helps prevent wood shavings getting tangled in the tail.

Tail Tips (2)
Want your horse to have a gleaming white mane and tail?

KEEP
YOUR PONY HAPPY THIS WINTER
On returning home from a wet winter
ride, put your pony in his stable with lots of clean straw underneath
his rug. Make sure the rug is turned inside out, so that the lining doesn't get
damp. Secure it with a roller.
The straw lets air circulate, helping him to dry off quickly and stay
warm |
|
Does Your Pony Need an Extra
Layer this Winter?
Convert an old Sleeping Bag into an under-blanket to give your pony added
warmth during these
cold winter nights.
Remove the zip from around the edges

Cut out a semi-circle around one of the
ends

Stitch some binding tape around the raw
edges
Stitch some broad Velcro for breast
staps

HEY PRESTO! A COSY LINING RUG!

Katie says...
WHEN NEW
PEOPLE COME AROUND THE STABLE AND YOU INTRODUCE THEM TO YOUR HORSE, MAKE SURE THEY STAND
ON THE SIDE OF THE HORSE, UP BY THE SIDE OF HIS HEAD SO HE CAN SEE THEM GOOD.
HORSES CAN'T SEE
DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM BECAUSE THEIR EYES ARE SO FAR APART, BUT SEE GREAT OFF TO THE
SIDES.
THIS WAY THE HORSE WILL
FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE BEING ABLE TO SEE HIS NEW FRIEND, AND WON'T BE FRIGHTENED OF
SOMEBODY NEW.

Jane says...
When travelling your horse to a show
- to keep his tail extra clean, and save using loads of tail bandages that always fall off
anyway -
put his tail into the leg of an old pair of tights and bandage over the top. It looks a
bit strange, but really does keep it poo free and nice. |
