Haynet Tips
To save time fill a weeks full of haynets so you don't have
to fill them in the cold dark winter evenings. |

| The time
consuming task of soaking hay IS SOLVED... You get the pole from an old brush and make to
holes in your weelie bin on each side the right size to fit the pole through. Put your hay
in then put the pole through going through the 2 holes ,fill it with water and leave to
soak while you do another job come back later and tip the bin upside down leaving all the
water to drain out with the bale still inside (thanks to the pole) |

| If the
string on your hay-net snaps, get 3 pieces of baler twine, plait them an thread them in

| Buy loads of haynets and
fill them all up at the weekend, then during the week just take one of them |

| Want to stop hay blowing
all over the place whilst feeding or moving it from the barn ? Invest in a wheelie
bin, (the household type for refuse) It will take a whole bale lengthways or you can
stuff it with haylage. |

Winter/Cold Weather Tips
Do all of your jobs and prepare your hay and feed
before you ride in the winter months after schools so when you are cold and tired after
riding you don't have to worry about it! |

| To stop your water bucket frezzing over in
a winter put a ball on the top so it floats and stops the water freezing, I find that this
saves me time in a morning as I don't have to break the ice. |

Bedding Tips
During the week, deep litter your pony's bed and give it a
full mucking out at the weekend |

| My tip is to save money and time gather
dry leaves that have been lying around your yard at Autumn/winter and use them for your
horses bedding. They are soft and make a very comfortable
bed for the horse and of course
the horse will not eat them . This saves both time and money in the long run. |
