Sponges will become slimy if they are not allowed to dry
out thoroughly after use. To revive a slimy sponge, soak it overnight in
water containing a little vinegar. Wash the sponge thoroughly before
use. |

When pulling a mane, save the pulled hair for when
plaiting - you can add it to a plait if there isn't enough hair or an
area has been rubbed off. This enables you to have similar sized plaits.

If your horse/pony won't let you
worm him with worming paste, try putting the paste in a honey
sandwich. Your horse will love it so much that he will want to be
wormed everyday! |

To stop holes appearing in your saddle flaps, get
some girth guards, they only cost a few pounds, and stop the buckles
on the girth from damaging your really expensive saddle flaps, COMMON
SENSE!!!!!! |

Disposable nappies can make useful
dressings beneath bandages, tending to draw discharge away from wounds
and keep them dry; and they are cheaper to buy than rolls of gamgee. |

My tip is how to make a cheap feed
scoop. Simply cut diagonally across a old 2 litre bottle. Easy

You go into your horses stable to give him a
through grooming, take a look at the tail, "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
disaster! The knottiest tail in the whole of Britain! Problem solved.
Simply get a little baby oil, and massage in tail (or mane) with
fingertips. A cheap, knot-free, shiny, silky result! |

If you are worried about your
horse or pony getting worms, buy a couple of sheep to eat the worm
eggs that are lying around as worms can't live in a sheep's
stomach! |

If using a curry-comb when you're trying to
untangle your lovely messy horse's mane/tail tears their hair, and
using a comb takes too long then just use a human hair-brush! - A
quick, knotless solution to a common problem! It really does
save tons of time when you wanna' get out riding......... |

To keep your yard and stable clean
tie a hoof pick to a piece of baling twine with an old bucket at the
other end, this way your hoof pick doesn't wonder off (as they have a
habit of doing) and you can pick the feet out into the bucket without
your yard or stable getting dirty. |
