HorseData will be the web portal of choice for horse lovers everywhere. Our home page can be your home page from which you can access our main Information Database and services such as the Forum, Events Calendar, and Personal Search. Our site and Web searches use the same search engine database as Google so finding other sites of interest is easy.
This site provides a large database of equestrian suppliers, products, services and general information. Over 14,000 items are indexed, divided into over 50 categories and spread over more than 900 pages to ensure that the information you want is easily and quickly identified. If it has been advertised in any of the major weekly or monthly equestrian magazines in the last year it is on this site.General information is easily found by searching the site. To quickly find information about a specific topic, use the search box at bottom of each page. For more complex searches, click on the Search button located at the top right-hand corner of every page. If you want information on jodhpurs, type jodhpurs in the site search box and all pages mentioning jodhpurs will be listed for you. It's as easy as that. For further assistance, click on the Help button in the left-hand border. To make more general searches of the site easier, Products and Services are divided into areas depending upon whether they are for the horse, for the rider, or to do with stabling and stable yards, including arenas etc. General Information includes topics from bridleways to worming, with details of horse societies and organisations. To browse the site use the menu buttons on the top and left of each page. For Product and Services searches, use the For Riders, For Horses and Stable+Yard buttons on the top menu. Then further define your search on the following pages. For further assistance, click on the Help button in the left-hand border. We are equestrian enthusiasts (if you're reading this, probably you are too!). The idea for this site was first raised when, after many years with our horses at livery, we decided to look after our horses ourselves. We had a great deal of trouble, and spent a lot of time, finding information about all the equipment we needed to buy, stables to build, services to find (vet, farrier, dentist, transport, etc). There was no single source of information we could go to - until HorseData! We own quite a variety of horses and we believe that this gives us a wide range of knowledge through experience. We have ridden for a long time and owned horses for the last twelve years. We now have five horses (well four and a half really as one is a miniature Shetland pony). Somehow we have ended up with three youngsters (one three-year-old filly we bred ourselves, a yearling and her very inexperienced five-year-old mother who we just had to buy!) and a thirteen-year-old gelding who was given to us because he had behavioural problems. They range in size from 7 hands to 17.3 hands (I'm old-fashioned, I'm not sure what that is in centimetres). We do not profess to be experts - we have a range of qualified people whom we use for specialist advice. These include a vet, farrier, equine dentist, physiotherapist, saddler, trainers and competitors in the fields of dressage, show jumping and eventing - all qualified in their own field. If these are not enough, we go and find others who will help! Although the site has international appeal - we have performed Personal Searches for visitors from Alaska to Australia - the information on products and services is mainly UK-based. If it has been advertised in any of the major weekly or monthly equestrian magazines in the last year it is on this site.
