Description: Larkspur are mostly perennial herbs with lobed or divided
leaves; the flowers are above the leaves, often blue, purple, or white, with a
prominent spur formed from one sepal and two petals.
Symptoms
may include: Agitation,
breathing difficulties, inco-ordination, abdominal pain, muscular spasms
and difficulty in standing.
Notes: All
parts of the plant are poisonous. Few reported cases of poisoning in
horses.
