large quantities have been ingested, fatal haemorrhaging has occurred
within a short time, with subcutaneous haemorrhaging, pale mucous
membrane, weakness and rapid heartbeat occurring immediately prior to
death.
Notes:
Safe
for grazing but when incorporated into hay certain constituents may
impair blood clotting. Plant scarce in pastures so unlikely to be a
problem in most hay grown in the UK.
