Bishops Eclipse, known as Polly, is a 17.1hh dark bay  mare.  The Sire was Bishops Envoy who is a Thoroughbred cross Irish Draft, the Dam was Weston Nightingale VII. 

Polly was born in April 1996 and had a filly, Chablis, born in May 2000 (click the picture to enlarge).

Polly arrived with us, un-backed, on the 29th May 2000 with Chablis who was two weeks old. As a result of our "Name the Horse" competition, Chablis now has a posh new show name - In the Dragon's Shadow.

We have charted Polly's Progress in a Diary.  It is a personal account and is not intended as a professional guide on how to back a horse. We hope you find it interesting and would welcome any comments, hints or similar anecdotes/stories of your own.
